Today it was just announced that more than a quarter million veterans considered to have higher incomes cannot sign up for health care with the Veterans Affairs Department because of a cost cutting move.

The total number is around 250000 that will not qualify and have been given the cold shoulder. What it all came down to was budget funding.  There were areas that were not met and it looks like the Veterans were the ones where the cuts were made.

Solution for this and other veterans?   Many still have adequate health care but for those that don't they can always order from Canada and save on prescriptions.   Many Canadian pharmacies are APO/FPO friendly and will deliver to veterans serving in the forces around the world.
