Just announced this morning that Canada's health minister good ol' Ujjal Dosanjh said he is working on putting together a proposal to stop bulk exports of drugs to the United States. This was his quote ""We will certainly look at the possibility of bulk exports to the United States and see if they can be banned," the minister said in an interview with The Canadian Press.
Now, why is this a good thing??? Because the average individual does not order in bulk, they order one at a time or a 3 month prescription at a time. Bulk is simply not necessary for the family looking to save on medicine from Canada. It is the insurance companies, and other large firms that are stock piling medicine from Canada in large quantitities that are buying in bulk.
It still has to be passed in the House of Commons, but until then, it is business as usual.
In my opinion, everyone wins with this proposal.
